KatePrince William and Kate Middleton first came into contact when they were in school of St. Andrews in 2001. Prince William was reportedly attracted by Kate Middleton's transparent dress at a fashion showcase. The year 2003 was the first time they had been together. After their sophomore year in St. Andrews, Middleton as well as Prince William were roommates together alongside two other students.
